Jose Reyes Offered Salary Arbitration from Mets

According to Mets.com, the Mets offered Jose Reyes salary arbitration to ensure that they are compensated with 2012 draft picks if Reyes decides to sign with another club.

If the All-Star shortstop accepts, he would be agreeing to just another year w/the Mets that would earn him a pay raise from his $11M salary from last year. Unfortunately, this scenario is highly unlikely due to the fact that if Reyes took the offer, he would be denying himself the possibility of a multi-year contract for much more money.
