With tonight's victory against the LA Angels, the Mets are now 35-36. Since April 20th, when the team was 5-13, they have gone 30-23...not too shabby.
Mike Pelfrey earned his fourth victory of the season in complete-game fashion.
Due to Washington's current 8-game winning streak, the Mets are now tied with the Nats for third place in the NL East.
Carlos Beltran went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI including his 10th home run of the season. Beltran now has 43 RBI and is batting .286.
Jason Bay continues to make strides at the plate with another muti-hit game. In Bay's last seven games, including tonight's, he is 9-for-27 with 3 RBI, 2 SB, and 3 runs scored.
Good win for the Mets!
